What Are Common Air Conditioning Problems?

Freschi Service Experts is here with a couple of the most common cooling problems in Concord.

  • No Cool Air

If you can hear your A/C equipment operating but there isn’t cool air coming out, you may need to have your refrigerant levels analyzed. Refrigerant is what helps make sure the air blowing from your air conditioner is actually cool. Call Freschi Service Experts and we’ll come out and review your refrigerant levels and look into why your air conditioner is not producing cool air.

  • Fan Won’t Rotate

A reason your condenser fan isn’t rotating could be that it simply burned out and you need to replace the fan. Humidity can cause more condensation so a second issue to watch for is that the water is not draining properly or that the drain is blocked. If you can verify these matters, you may be able to find the culprit; if not, give Freschi Service Experts a call and we can find out what has stopped your condenser fan from rotating and review your options to get your system working again.

  • Not Cooling Properly

First, try lowering your thermostat. It sounds silly but sometimes we overlook the obvious. If that doesn’t get your air conditioner cooling, take a look at the air filter. If the air filter is dirty, it could cause significant cooling issues. Another thing that could cause your ineffective cooling is that your HVAC system is not sized properly, and unfortunately this is a frequent issue when homes are constructed. Freschi Service Experts will come out and do an analysis to determine if the size of your equipment is causing your issues.

  • System is Short Cycling

If your air conditioner is short cycling, or turning on or off repeatedly, it could mean one of multiple things. One is that your condenser or evaporator is dirty and requires cleaning. Once the system is cleaned and all obstructions removed, you may be all set. Remember that humidity also plays a role so if your home cools to the right temperature, but then the humidity causes your home to warm back up, it could result in on-again, off-again air conditioning because the equipment is having to work harder to keep your home comfortable.

No matter your issue, whatever AC trouble you run into, Freschi Service Experts is here for you 24 hours a day so we can get your family comfortable quickly.
