The NATE-Certification Advantage

March 20, 2018

Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning proudly sends NATE-Certified technicians into customers’ homes across North America every day. While this title of being Nate-Certified surely sounds comforting, what does it truly mean?

NATE, an abbreviation for North American Technician Excellence, is the nation’s largest non-profit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technicians. NATE is the certification organization that was developed by and has been acknowledged by the entire HVACR industry for approximately 20 years. But, not all technicians in the field are necessarily NATE-Certified. The certification is elective and technicians can service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration units without the certification.

It’s essential to Service Experts that our team is NATE-Certified to make sure we are putting the most skilled technicians into our customers’ homes. To make sure technicians meet these standards, the NATE-Certification exams verify real-world working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems for technicians. The assessments are knowledge-based exams that evaluate the technician’s understanding of these standards.

Since Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning focuses primarily on the HVAC side of NATE-Certification, our technicians attain their designations in these areas. However, NATE assessment candidates may gain certification in any of these areas:

  • Air Conditioning
  • Air Distribution
  • Gas Heating
  • Oil Heating
  • Heat Pumps
  • Hydronic Gas (service only)
  • Hydronics Oil (service only)
  • Light Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Ground Source Heat Pump Loop Installer
  • Senior HVAC Efficiency Analyst

You can be confident that the technicians at Service Experts are highly qualified and professional and will do the job right the first time. Our company has the know-how and skill set to not only fix your HVAC systems, but to take the utmost care of your equipment. Call to have one of our NATE-Certified experts evaluate your HVAC system to make sure that it is prepared to secure your family’s comfort throughout the year.
